We Believe

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH.

We Believe and Affirm; that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that they are without error in the original languages and that they only constitute the Divine Rule of Christian faith and practice.

We Believe and Affirm; there is only One God, who is infinitely perfect, the Creator, Preserver and Governor of all things and who is our only Object of Worship.

We Believe and Affirm; there are three persons in the Godhead; the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit; undivided in essence and co-equal in power and glory.

We Believe and Affirm; that Jesus Christ was God the Word made manifest in the flesh; truly and properly God and truly and properly man, and that He, by His suffering and death, made atonement for sin and that by His resurrection, there is eternal life for all who believe. That He the Word, became flesh, by being born of the Virgin Mary, and manifested His worthiness to be the only sacrifice acceptable to God, by learning, and walking in total obedience to the Father, thus separating Himself from the first Adam who disobeyed.

We Believe and Affirm; that the Kingdom of God is not simply a New Testament concept, but rather was established in Gen 1:1 and was given into the hand of Adam to administer on earth. However; because of his disobedience to His sovereign King, handed his authority over to another, and thus submitted himself and his progeny to live their life without God, thus a state of death. Jesus the Word made flesh, came and lived a sinless life and paid the price of fallen man, and redeemed the earth and all therein, back to the authority of its Creator. Thus the Kingdom of God has been re-established on earth under the headship of the New Covenant, the Last Adam, our Savior, Lord and King. Matt 28:18-20. Thus we, all who believe are once again given the dominion mandate. Gen 1:26-28, Matt 28:18-20, 1 John 5:1-5.

We Believe and Affirm; that since our first parents, by their disobedience, thus their fall, that man reproduces after its own kind, perpetuating the falleness of all of mankind from that time, and is entirely unable in his own strength and ability, to find salvation he so desperately seeks, and reconciliation with God. He is thus entirely and wholly dependent upon God’s grace and mercy.

We Believe and Affirm; salvation, by God’s grace and mercy, depends on and is only received upon repentance, faith in God, cleansing through the shed blood of Jesus and regeneration of the Holy Spirit. It is He by His lifting up that all men are drawn to Him. John 12:32.

We Believe and Affirm; that baptism in water is a personal and dynamic demonstration of one’s death, burial, and resurrection with Christ Jesus. The death and burial of the old nature, and the resurrection into the new and abundant Life, promised by the Lord Himself, it is not just a ritual nor is it simply symbolic it is a demonstration of truth, and thus enforcing re-generation.

We Believe and Affirm; it is the privilege of all believers, in response to the command of God’s Word, to receive the power of the Holy Spirit to live Holy and victorious lives, for it is through Him and Him alone. We further believe that all the Holy Spirit’s gifts, ministries and manifestations are available to all believers to draw men to God, not to man, thus impacting the earth with the Glory of the Lord. As Jesus expressed: It is more expedient for you that I go so that father will send Holy Spirit and then He will guide you into all truth and you will not only do the works that I do, but greater; if you believe.

We Believe and Affirm; that Jesus Christ, at the time of his ascension into Heaven where He is now under command of the Father, is seated on His Fathers right hand until all His enemies are made His footstool. In ascending He gave gifts to mankind: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. These gifts in our view are Kingdom Leadership, not church government, and are demonstrated through servanthood. These so gifted, manifest their authority to equip the church so that the individual is equipped, empowered and released to do the ministry.

We Believe and Affirm; that neither ritual tradition ceremony nor rite can replace conversion, relationship with God, or true worship/obedience, and that nothing less than the Lordship of Christ upon our lives is the mark of a mature Christian.

We Believe and Affirm; in the continuance of the Lord’s Supper, consisting of the bread and the fruit of the vine, as instituted by our Lord Himself with His disciples and continued by the Apostles, as such it is also an act of faith and memorializing the New Covenant and all its blessings. Partaking is a demonstration of our faith in the atoning work of Christ’s suffering and death and a prophetic action demonstrating the fullness of life until His coming, and as such is commanded of all His disciples until that day.

We Believe and Affirm; that Marriage is the God ordained means for pro-creation of mankind and thereby building God’s world generation upon generation. We demonstrate this belief by affirming that it is God’s word and God’s word alone that declares and defines what marriage is, and that being a covenant of between two people, comprising of only one man and one woman, forming that union. Anything else is not marriage in Gods sight, and therefore cannot be blessed or acceptable in the eyes of the church, regardless what any government or man-made church rules may say to the contrary. Furthermore we believe that marriage is not defined in the Constitution of the United States simply because marriage was and is the domain of the church, as the first amendment states; “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; Because we consider that marriage is so foundational to Kingdom Life and recognizing that God has allowed for divorce, KLI will have a binding Arbitration Agreement for all who marry in any KLI church, must hold too. This is not about forbidding or outlawing divorce, but to endeavor to do all we can to keep and restore the marriage, if possible.

We Believe and Affirm; in the triumphant return of Jesus Christ not to establish his kingdom but rather to receive His kingdom from an overcoming and glorious church.

We Believe and Affirm; in the Apostolic Commissioning and the responsibility of the Church to go into all the world, extending the Kingdom of God, by preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, demonstrating the Kingdom, and teaching all nations how the Kingdom functions on earth and how to be true citizens of the Kingdom under our  King Jesus.

We Believe and Affirm; in the judgment of God, not simply in a one time act in the future which is the eternal punishment of the wicked, but also every moment as He seeks to draw men to Himself. We further believe not only in the everlasting joy of the righteousness, but the Joy of the Lord in our lives now.

We Believe and Affirm; that the Kingdom of God, is the rule of God in and through man, firstly demonstrated in Adam, till the fall, then manifested in and through Jesus Christ, and all who are ‘In Him’. We do not believe that the Kingdom is a political kingdom, yet it manifests through all nations and political realms that yield to the Lordship of Christ. It is not an economic kingdom but will work in all economies yielded to Christ. We firmly believe that the Kingdom of God operates totally different than all other kingdoms; these manifest from top down, outside in. The Kingdom of God manifests from the inside out and from the bottom up. We also believe that only true Sons can truly manifest the Kingdom of God.
